Founded in 1983 by Gene Haas, Haas Automation, Inc. began as a manufacturer of the industry’s first highly reliable, programmable 5C indexer. Based in Oxnard, California, the company set out to provide high-accuracy machining tools at a fraction of the cost of Japanese and European competitors.
