The Uster Jossi Vision Shield 2 (2017) is a premier contamination control system designed for high-capacity cotton blowrooms. This machine is engineered to detect and remove a vast array of foreign materials—including colored fibers, light pastel contaminants, and white polypropylene—from a bottom-up material flow. Positioned ideally after the fine opener, it processes up to 1200 kg/hour of virgin or bleached cotton at its most open state, ensuring that even contaminants as small as a single hair are identified by its advanced Imaging Spectroscopes.

Equipped with the Efficiency Booster and VTECT LED technology, this 2017 model significantly reduces the loss of “good” cotton by precisely timing ejections across 24 zones. The system utilizes 96 nozzles and a cyclone anti-backflow design to reliably eject impurities without allowing them to re-enter the production stream. With a compact 1200 mm working width and low power consumption of approximately 1.0 kVA, the Vision Shield 2 integrates seamlessly into existing lines. Operators can manage all parameters and export detailed statistics through the Uster Jossi Data Manager, ensuring “Total Contamination Control” and protecting downstream spinning processes from costly quality claims.
